Listen to the songs you’ve heard at Ethos

Posted by Luke Flener on 06/22/2009

We’ve gathered a list of songs that we sing regularly at Ethos and put them into an iMix on iTunes.

To listen to the songs, you’ll still have to purchase and download them. But at least this way they are all in one place.

Church in the Park Cancelled

Posted by Dave Clayton on 06/17/2009

Well, due to the weather, Church in the Park tonight has been cancelled. Please help us spread the word. Some of you received the email earlier about helping our brother from church with some food. Even though Church in the Park is cancelled, he still needs food. Here is the plan.
Whatever food you were planning to purchase/give at the park tonight, put it in a plastic bag, and drop it off at Kim Pinkston’s House (3901 Doris Ave / Nashville, TN 37204) BEFORE 7:30 pm tonight. There will be someone there to take the food from you. Kim’s House is only about 2 minutes from the park so it isn’t that far out of the way.
Several of you have asked if you could bring food on Sunday Night. The answer is of course. Kim Pinkston is coordinating that so just give it to her on Sunday Night.
Thanks for your willingness to serve. You guys are wonderful.

How to Start a Movement

Posted by Dave Clayton on 06/04/2009

WATCH THIS VIDEO

A few things I think we can learn from this video.

1. One man can start a movement.
2. A movement need not be started by the most skilled member of the movement.
3. When beginning your movement and you look around and no one else is joining the dance, just keep dancing.
4. When the one guy who joins your movement slowly fades away, keep going.
5. Before you know it, the people joining your movement won’t even know you started it.
6. When your movement takes a life of it’s own, just let go. There will be no stopping it.
7. The very people who are staring at you like your nuts as you move alone, will be the very same people dancing the hardest in the end.
